Origin
Jesus Christ, Son of God, was born at around 4 BD and grew
up in Nazareth, Palestine. When he was in his 30s, he
began his public ministry. 12 chosen apostles traveled
with him around Palestine, which was being ruled by the
Romans then. Jesus Christ makes friends with the
friendless and those not accepted by society. He healed
the sick, fed the people who followed him and taught about
how to love God and his people, the commandments from God.
As Jesus Christ, proclaims that he is the Son of God,
became more and more popular, it invoked the jealousy of
Roman rulers and the Jewish religious leaders. In the
final week of his life, he was brought to trial and placed
on a cross and crucified.
On the third day after his death, he rose up from his tomb
and came back to life, and this is called Resurrection.
The followers of Jesus Christ all around the world
proclaim his message of God’s love for all people and
began gathering believers into groups called churches.
